Below, you’ll find some of my favorite examples of my video editing work.
I primarily edit in DaVinci Resolve, with heavy experience in Adobe Premiere as well.
Tune Me Out - Ongoing
Tune Me Out is an ongoing podcast that I have had TONS of fun being a part of. Mike has been a great friend of mine for years now and graciously relies on my expertise for designing the physical set as well as all postproduction, including editing, color grading, and publishing final edits which include full podcast episodes as well as "shorts" to be published as short-form content.

Under The Influence - 2020
This film was my final film while attending Calvin University. It was also uniquely challenging as the majority of production took place during the initial Covid outbreak in early 2020. In fact, while filming the closing "group counseling" scene, which was filmed early in production, I was watching the headlines roll in about the first confirmed cases in Grand Rapids. The scenes in the diner were filmed after the initial lockdown orders went into place, and we had to get special private access.
Post-production was a unique challenge. The keen-eared will notice the café scene was entirely ADR. Unfortunately, it was recorded under least-optimal circumstances: as we had no access to proper recording spaces due to the lockdown. I had each actress do a crash-course in home ADR recording and had them construct home recording spaces to try and get as faithful ADR as possible. They did their absolute best to match the original scene, and thus began my challenge of splicing it all together. I am very happy with the final outcome considering the circumstances of production, and the efforts more than paid off.

The Call - 2019
This was a fun production to take part in as a production assistant. Many hats were worn on-set, with my assistance being present in set management, shot management assistance, and even a bit of field audio recording. While not my most involved production, it was an excellent learning opportunity and a pleasure to be a part of. (Website)

The Hit - 2018
This film was one of my favorites during my time at Calvin. It was my most heavily-involved film, aside from Under The Influence. It was also where I feel I gained the most experience in the many roles I took on, and this film is what truly brought my skills up. It was also my first time having an assistant under my direction.
