I spent five years at Sweetwater Sound working hands-on with professional audio gear, recording setups, and production workflows, building a deep understanding of how sound actually functions in real-world environments.

Combined with my background in Film and Media Production from Calvin University, that experience shapes how I approach video editing. My work prioritizes pacing, clarity, and sound design that feels intentional from start to finish.

My various roles have included: 

• Editing & Story Structure
  Shaping raw footage into cohesive edits with strong pacing and narrative flow. Contributed to multiple productions at Calvin University, including two Student Emmy award-winning projects.

• Audio Engineering & Sound Design
  Built on five years at Sweetwater Sound as a Senior Sales Engineer working directly with professional audio gear and production workflows, combined with a background in music. Informs an approach centered on rhythm, clarity, mix balance, and sound design that supports the edit.

• Post-Production Workflow
  Project organization, color correction, and final delivery using DaVinci Resolve, with an emphasis on efficient workflows and clean, consistent output.
